Advanced Salsa Dancing Moves

A more complicated salsa dance pattern for you to try this week. It is a very long pattern, so take it in strides and small bites. We have named the individual moves to help you piece the entire salsa combination together.

Because it is Valentine's Day - you can have something to practice with that special someone. The song used in the episode is "Philadelphia Mambo" by Los Gatos (originally by Tito Puente)

Practice tip

Practice the move in sections and keep the connection controlled and precise. Once the setup and transitions feel obvious, the pattern becomes much easier to use socially.

Why this helps on the social floor

Save the full version for moments when the floor and the partnership can support it, and use the cleanest section first.
